How can I view Growing Degree Days/Hours (GDD, GDH) in FarmRoad?

Growing degrees can help you gain a more accurate understanding of the development of your crops than relying on time alone

FarmRoad can automatically calculate growing degree days (GDD) and growing degree hours (GDH) for a given sector or sensor.

To do this, you simply need to navigate to Data Studio, and open the Dashboard of your choice (or create a new one), then scroll to the bottom of the page.

You should see a button saying "Add graph or widget" at the bottom of the page, click on this button.

From there, you'll be shown a number of available widgets. Click 'Growing degrees (GDD, GDH)'.

After that, you'll need to confirm the calculation method you'd like to use (you can read about the differences here), alongside the sector/sensor selection.

After that, you'll have the opportunity to specify a base temperature for the calculation, as well as an optional maximum temperature (above which additional growing degrees are not accumulated), as well as a start date.

Once you're done with that, click Done and your dashboard should reload and display  your new Growing Degree graph.
