While a gateway is offline, you will not receive alerts for data coming from any FarmRoad Sensor connected to that gateway.
This will effect all alerts configured:

to use only data from FarmRoad Sensor device(s) which use that gateway

for a sector or crop in which the data for the configured measurement type is solely coming from Folium devices connected to that gateway
Alerts which are configured for a crop or sector and which are configured for a measurement type that has multiple data sources will still receive alerts, as long as one of the data sources is still operational.
Actions to resolve:
This issue will be resolved when the gateway comes back online. Please see gateway support.
