Flower Number Per Plant
Total number of open flowers per branch. Open flowers are usually seen at the top truss.
For example, for some beefsteak varieties, it could be typically 5, 6 flowers at max depending on how many flowers that the grower plans to keep per truss. In this situation, 5 flowers may indicate good flowering.
Reduced number of flowers may indicate sub-optimal flowering, vegetative behavior, climate impacts or plant management by the grower to keep few flowers due to reasons like a poor weather forecast.
